A whole year for me is really hard to fully picture, and I think a lot of us still get whiplash when we remember we’re almost halfway through this decade. The months zip past, and its so easy to forget april and oct can be in the same time frame.
Im proud of the progress I made in 2023. Compared to years prior, I’m so grateful for all the opportunities I received, even if sadly I didn’t reach all my goals or was able to stay focused on my work as much as I wanted. But for what its worth, and all of the bumps I hit towards the end of the year with my health, I don’t think I’d be able to continue into this year without the loyalty and enthusiasm of my community!!
Right now is a time to not just look forward but reflect on how we’ve grown! (even if I should have done that at the end of December and not January lol). last year I had set myself some goals for my growth as a creator!
- Reach 1k on twitch
- Reach 15k? on tiktok
- Possible form of merch
- Possible oltic fursuit commissioned
- More stable community nights in the discord server
Thankfully I got one of those done lol. With tiktok I had hoped to have started regular content and to grow the account more since its been sitting at 5k followers since my old MCYT streamer days from 2021. Merch was slightly a possibility! but the issue is it can be a big expense if you dont have the fanbase to support the business costs of art and quality items (i think once I can pull my average viewership and have a consistent non streaming platform, then stickers would be a very realistic item to do a limited test run with!). The fursuit never happened this year due to my own income and expenses but thats ok. And community nights did have a good run this year with lots of movie nights thanks to those that hosted!
But that leads us into this year, what will my new goals be?
- Firstly I hope to (at least) hit 1.5k on twitch!
- Start a proper youtube channel and grow it to (at least) 50 subscribers
- Broaden my tiktok content and start doing more IRL fursuit videos on a dedicated account
- And learn to put better commitment into my content and more consistency as a creator!
I know if I ever want to make a job out of this then passion and hard work are going to take me far! but I know Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither was Selena Y Los Dinos. Its hard to find a balance when you also have other responsibilities and a personal life, especially while trying to live neurotypically as a unmedicated neurodivergent dog. XD
But as I get back on my paws, I have faith for at least the bare minimum this year. 💚
